I wanted to give Lena the kind of belonging I grew up with.
I grew up in South Philly with a strong sense of community — places to go, people who knew me, kids to play with, and the feeling that I belonged somewhere real.
My 5-year-old daughter Lena lights up when she is being creative and socializing with other children. I wanted to give her that same kind of community while creating chances to learn, make things, explore and build friendships.
Then I realized I needed that community too. So while I am building a community for Lena, I am building a village for myself and for other families looking for the same thing.
STEAM Sprouts is the beginning of that village.

FUTURE VISION · Sprout Village
A permanent place for the whole family to grow.
Sprout Village is the future physical family community space STEAM Sprouts is working toward — a place where children can play, create and learn while parents connect, work and build community.
Future offerings may include open play, STEAM classes, children's enrichment, parties, family events, parent classes, community events, a café/lounge, coworking and private work or meeting spaces. The location does not exist yet; the village is the vision we are growing toward.
